the winter of 1962 to '63 would have been nothing to them.
Not to mention the winter (Jan-Mar) of 1947
Did your beer freeze over during that winter
More recently than that a licensee in South Wales was threatened with prosecution for selling watered down keg lager. It transpird that his kegs had been stored outside in very cold weather and a lot of the water had frozen but not the alcohol. When he brought them in and connected them her was serving Fosters or whatever it was at about 145 alcohol, then as the ice melted the remaining beer was diluted down to about 1% - which is when trading standards turned up.

Think he was talking about using the money saved by scrapping HS2 to improve roads. Do I believe that?

Oh, and don't you dare marry someone who isn't a British citizen unless you earn £40k...

I wasn't earning that when I married my wife, which would mean I'd have had to move abroad ironically leaving open a job that they can't recruit from abroad to fill. I get the idea is to hire internally but who is training these people?
