New Openings & Developments

Under what legislation are these so called areas protected?

I think they've made it up

That's from the pre-2014 Local Plan. Surely you can't be suggesting that the borough council makes things up as and where it suits?

What does the new Local Plan say about areas of public open space? Most of the policies in the previous local plan have now been superseded by the new plan.

Think most policies were carried over with different designations. Protection of open spaces and green infrastructure seems to be stronger now, but rules are made to be broken in Stafflood

Here's a good one for the rugby club protesters:

Policy N4 The Natural Environment & Green Infrastructure
e. Ensuring that no new development takes place in areas where environmental risks, particularly
flooding, cannot be properly managed

Enjoying a drop of red.
I worry about petitions in a town where only 3000 sign one about the closure of children's services at our A&E but 60000 sign one against a speculative planning application for a rabbit farm near Gnosall.

Either you've all got your priorities wrong, or I have...

No doubt the usual do-gooders will be along in a bit with their self-righteous indignation.
