What's that you say? A massive crack in the structure? Council offices condemned?

More red brick demolition - Yippee!

If there be any truth in this, then it would be the best news since a massive crack was found in the structure of the equally monstrous car park.

Is it too early to rejoice?

I noticed the 2nd Supercigs / Supernews in town (the one opposite the Coop) has had it's name stripped and a "business leasehold" for sale sign slapped on it .

However a couple were having a good look round the old moben bathroom / showroom place, discussing where things like a cash desk / fitting rooms could go, seems they might be opening a clothes shop there.

The stafford clothes exchange / swap pop up shop has also appeared in the Guildhall next to the new furniture shop...

What does everyone think of the new charity shop - Salvation Army by brighthouse :)

Heard its rubbish, sells rags not good quality stuff, put me off it right away before it opened, it said opening 10am 20th Febuary

very very bad to spell February wrong in the window like that! unprofessional, shouldn't be a thrift shop there at all either

i haven't been in, but for what it's worth me & the missus noticed it while waiting at the traffic lights at the bottom of town the other day, and both commented on how impressive it looked.. no idea what it's like as a shop (charity or otherwise), but it looks good from the outside and certainly makes a nice change from a lot of the shops that have opened around here recently that look like they have been thrown together overnight and the work experience boy has knocked the signage up in MS paint!

That's a shame .. I happen to volunteer there and we sell decent stuff.. definitely not rags! And had nothing but great feedback

I didn't find anything on my first visit but I will be back - love charity shops. It's laid out very nicely and looks nice and modern.

KH are having a furniture shop in the town - I thought it was the old furniture shop opposite Argos (Walmsley's?), but I might have misheard..
