I saw something about boxes being loaded into the old Brantano. With it being a pop up version not sure it would be on the website / twitter

is there something happening in the empty building at the college entrance of the guildhall, next to the gym? I thought it looked like there was some movement in there earlier this week.

There's been work happening there for a while - bigger then just a shop fit I think.

It'll be full of expensive tat.

How can u call kids toys tat? .. yeah it's expensive but fortunately being a mom to 3 kids I can't wait to get a toys r us in Stafford along with the entertainer in town, we have hardly any children's toys/clothes, ect.. shops here and I amongst other parents will be so happy for that

Because alot of what they sell is tat.

I have 4 kids, all grown up now, we used pop up to Toys r Us every so often, in the hope they had sumat decent. I'm afraid @proactive is right, an awful lot of what is sold in there is tat/shite, not worth the money.

Yay to The Works!
I've been shopping in The Works in Worcester since the old Stafford one closed. Saved a fortune in there in the past, with the same books etc a fraction of the price of Smith's and other local stores. Stocked up on jigsaws last time I went , a lot cheaper than even the charity shops I visited !

Agreed SALTER STREET IS EXCELLENT.

2 hours free parking at kingsmead car park as well, just 1minutes walk from the shop.

May not have the vast selections as toys r us but a great selection and very good cst service.

Let us use these independents, no good moaning when then are gone
