Hi everyone,

Been meaning to check the site out for a couple of weeks since I met you all on a very organised pub crawl a couple of weeks ago. Saw you all in my local the Star & Garter, me and my friends go there for a nice peaceful drick with some old crusty men pre-town, then all of a sudden on a routine Saturday evening a bevy of young hunks arrived with a whistle!!!

Loving the forum, have lived in Stafford my whole life, worked in many town pubs,had many jobs here, and love Stafford.Wolud love to hook up with some more people to go out of town on nights out with, my friends are very dull & you can only cope so long in this life going to the Litten Tree & chicagos every weekend.

I was the ringleader and inventer of that pub crawl, I can't say I remember much of the night now but I can remember using the ladies toilets in The Star and Garter by complete accident, sorry for that.

I do remember the bar staff threatening to shove the whistle down my throat, in jest I hope. You should of just tagged along with us, I think we were only half way around by then.

I very rarely go to the Littern Tree and never go The Rock, I guess just keep checking the Forum for the fun times.

Wizelcome. Unfortunately i wasn't here for the forum meet up over christmas but it sounded like an exciting evening! Glad to see our forumite's spent the valuable time recruiting new users :boh:

As we all know what makes Stafford the best damn town in the whole of Staffordshire is the people so tell all your mates about the forum and get them on here ;)

Litten tree and chicago every weekend??!! You poor thing. I just about manage once a month and this is bad enough :down:

Yes yes I remember you going into the womens it was very very funny!!!!!!To be fair us regulars just sat and watched you. Not very public spirited.

Sorry 4 the distruption to your quiet pub on that night, you should of seen us in The Vine, U-TUBE has some video footage of one of the lads singing in the Karoke.

Dont think I was asking you to eat your whistle, but you never know! We were the three scared looking girls sat by the pool table, honestly, if you knew the clientele in there you would understand why u caused such a fuss!!!

Yes Litten & chicago trail very very soul destroying, but where else is there to go? Im 26 which discounts me from Zanzibar coz am obviously far too old. (Do still go sometimes tho)
Used to love the Surgery, but now seems full of 14 year olds, think i am just getting old & boring!

I used to go to Shitago Rock every Wednesday with a load of old people. It was horrible, but almost made worthwhile by seeing the dodgy tribute acts they used to have on there. If only they'd had Joe Diffie on. Haven't been for years, thank Christ.

There's always somewhere else. Try that new place where Satchmo's used to be. Can't remember the name, but I discovered its delights last Friday. It's open till it shuts.

I'm in there all the time as well, bogs stink of shit though and you can't wash your hands in the sink because they've turned the water off. Esprei I think its called, I ended the Pub Crawl there. They even refused to serve me on that night as they thought I was too pissed. Probably did me a favour.

I was to old for that shit-heap when I finally found sense (and malt n hops) when I was 21. Though there was nothing like the Surgery, back in the days when Bionic nights set out your weekend, and introduced me to music, and how it was meant to be heard.Truly memorable.

im liking esprei, havent noticed the shit smell yet. the peterbraun they have on tap is lethal stuff and they just keep on serving until a)everyones left b)no ones still standing.
this can only be a good thing. :up:

i havent been to zanzi since it was the colloseum thank fook. think i was 16 last time i went in there. chicagos i went to once when i got some free tickets for the 'grand opening'. never went back.

Only a matter of time mate. I doubt the cellars changed since it was Satchmos. I can't remember the amount of time I had to bring a crate or two up due to a certain bartender being spooked by rats.

Never drink from a bottle in that place you just know some vermin has taken a leak over it. Disrespectful bastards.

WTF is with the cuffy points too? I hardly post on here to warrant -4.
