The Xmas tree in the Market Square has been taken down after strong overnight winds split it and left it unsafe

I can't remember why it has been housed there this year, but it surely has to rank up there as one of the more idiotic 'storms' of recent years that someone appeared in the Newsletter to rail against its 'inappropriate' new setting.
