woah - kibblestone cub camp!! does anyone remember the jimbuck jamborie? i think that's what it was called - althought i don't think it was at kibblestone (just the mention of the place is bringing back memories though).. i'll be honest, i can barely remember any of it - i'm sure something terrible happened to me at cubs because i seem have blocked the whole thing out..Sofa said:Word to da Cub Scouts - remember Kibblestone Camp?
Yes! I remember going in there just as they had opened and an old chap was serving. He didn't really know the prices of anything, it turned out, as when I went to purchase a creme egg, he peered at it over his half-moon spectacles and picked the price of 10p out of his head. I was thrilled, as the street value of a creme egg at that time, (nearly twenty years ago) was about 17p - I had made an incredible deal!MISS T said:Do you remember the quaint sweet shop where David Kidney has his solicitors office now, by the town park? Used to visit each morning before school to purchase nutella tub sold with spoon for 18p.
