Conway was the headmaster when I was there. We used to stand at the gates on Fairway having a crafty fag and watch the girls go by.Brought back memories of the old Dartmouth Street boys school / Kingston secondary for boys when I was there having my covid test yesterday. Along with memories of the Riverway girls school up the road from there (junction of Riverway/Lammascote Rd ).
Should have parked it over that oil stain on the path on the other side of the road...Yes it was on loan to Cyril Chell at the time from Triumph and he had it on display in the shop. I'd just paid off after an 8 month trip to sea and was flush, so I bought it for cash and he had no trouble selling it regardless of Triumph's objections. Cost £750 at that time. (You wouldn't get much of a bike for that these days .... )
This is after I'd just wheeled it out of the shop ..... pix taken on Marlborough Avenue off the Weston Road.
