Number Plate Theft Prevention.

According to the cops - http://www.staffordshire.police.uk/news/news_releases/120419_ib_screw_kit_giveaway/ - 40,000 sets of number plates are stolen annually. It's not something that I was aware of as a significant problem and, apparently, anti-tamper kits are being made available in Newcastle next week. Maybe the free kits will appear in the county town, or perhaps they already have..

A guy at work has had 2 sets stolen from his drive in Sutton Coldfield
The police reckon they are used for camera recognition avoidance (uninsured drivers) and drive away petrol theft
