They were just mentioned on the radio here. Not a hugely well-known band, but they actually played at my last school.
There was a large, and largely unnecessary, hall, from the school's activities point of view. It was occasionally used for extracurricular activities.
One of these events was announced to the school on a Friday morning, amongst many other largely futile statements. What made this was memorable was the fact that the rather pompous teacher reading it out had never encountered the word 'Cadillac' before and, after a slight pause, decided to say it as Ca-dill-uck, to great amusement.
I do remember a teacher who was obsessed with the Incredible String Band, so it may have been down to him.
