sorry should have clarified. charging £70 for people who are "seen leaving the car park" which is what i believe it says on their signs.

i think this means that many people who would park there and walk to the leisure centre now go straight to the leisure centre car park meaning that for example you might have to wait 15 mins to find a space as i did last night. which means that if you have a class booked at 1900 and you cant park till 1915 you miss a quarter of your class which isnt good. or if like me you want to take your son swimming and go at 1850 you park at 1912 by the time you have changed and got in the pool its 1930 and you have to be out by 2000 after paying £4.50 to get in.

the answer could be to get there earlier but how earlier but how early should people be arriving.......i suspect that many of the cars are there as people are in classes which finish on the hour. so if your class starts at 1900 and people dont move their cars till 1905/1910 you still miss out.

the council should be either increasing their car parking facilities or have an agreement with asda to use a section of their car park. its not as if the asda car park is ever full.

its frustrated me and i wondered if others share my frustration?

Asda will say, or more so through the company that they employ to police their car park, that the facility is for the use of their customers. Sad to think of how much money Stafford people spend in Asda and they get a bit arsey about some free parking. Doesn't look good on Asda.
As mentioned in the other thread, how enforceable is the threat to fine to walk off site after parking? Has anyone had a ticket yet?

What will they do if two or more people get out of a car and then go in different directions? Victim A might go into ASDA and buy a week's shopping, say, while Victim B might go into town to count how many bits have fallen off Scaffold Place, or see if they can find a shop still open.

My wife works for entrust, she hasn't got a space so she pays someone near her work to park on their premises.
