Parking on pavements to become unlawful.

Have you ever seen the sort of people that use public transport?🙀🙀

That includes my sort with me using public transport four out of the first twenty days of this year,
Bus to Brewood and back,
Train and tram to Birmingham, Bilston, Wolverhampton and back,
Bus back from Weston - walked out,
Train and bus to Upper Gornal, Sedgley, Wolverhampton and back.
QED.

Oh do sod off!

What are those of us that live in Castletown meant to do then? There's a good 14 homes along the Doxey Road that have grass and yellow lines outside them. We all have to hope we find a parking space.
So, you have the right to block the road with your two tons of personal transport.

Nah, you don't. If you don't have a parking space, find one. If that means renting a piece of private land, then that's what you should do.
@gilbert grape Have you seen this? Fkn delusional.

But you do have the right to park your personal transport anywhere you like on a public highway subject to any parking restrictions and not blocking the road.

When they built the railway line to Newport, they didn't put a station in at Haughton as they couldnt believe anyone would use it given how short the walk into town was.

Walk a mile....blimey, what a hardship.
This is incorrect on two counts, firstly Haughton station was opened in 1849 when the Stafford to Wellington line opened and secondly Haughton has never been a town.

And for the record the station is within Haughton parish hence why it was called Haughton station.

This does not sound like a fulfilling life, I'd also be rather frustrated, maybe you need a new hobby? Fox hunting sounds right up your street.
And farking off sounds like something you should do. And when you get there, you should feck off some more.

Think I'd rather park on the road and enjoy life thanks.
and not give a stuff about about anyone else. You sound really nice.

Figures given the morons who this forum attract and yes, I see the irony. Problem with this type of place, is you get morons who bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

I of course meant Derrington:
Right, so when they built the railway line to Newport they didn't put a station in at Derrington as they couldn't believe anyone would use it given how short the two mile walk into town was, but when they built the railway line to Uttoxeter they did put a station in at Stafford Common even though that was just a mile and a half from Stafford railway station.

Have a think why that may be.... the Common.... on which there used to be entertainment and by which there was industry against Derrington which, at the time, would have been in the middle of nowhere.

How many people lived in Derrington in 1849? Was it viable to have a station?

Besides who gives a toss what they did in 1849, most of us are now living in the 21st century.

I think essexian might be Jacob Reece Mogg :rich:

It's not about giving a stuff about anyone else, some people have no choice and have to park in the road.

I lived in a house for nearly 10 years with no off street parking available , mainly because when the house was built people didn't have cars.

The residents didn't block each other in, block others from using the street and left space for others to park.

But of course you wouldn't understand this because you never go out because you work smart and don't waste money do you?
