Loving all of your pictures @bigbluewolf , but just a suggestion - I would personally increase the size of your watermark and have it 2 opposite corners further out from the edge of the image. If anyone wanted to steal your images you've made it a very simple & slight crop. I'd make it so that even though it could still be cropped they'd have to lose far more of the image.

Thanks. Yes, the weather was surprisingly good. Saturday was OK but after the bad weather had passed (by 11:30), Sunday was even better.

Camera and Lens - Mamiya RB67, Seikor 90mm f/3.5 (Tripod Mounted)
Settings - Exposure settings not recorded
Film - Kodak Ektar ISO 100
Location - Nant Gwernol, Talyllyn Railway, North Wales

One of my collection of images shot on film this weekend :)

I'm used to shooting on the latest digital cameras, so using a 1970s camera was an interesting challenge! Setting the exposure was fine using an external light meter and the fully manual settings, but getting used to how the camera worked was a challenge - I found out that shooting moving objects is a real challenge, as the shutter takes a fraction longer to operate when the release is pressed, meaning the subject has moved more than you expect. Getting the focus right is also tricky, as the focus range is more limited.

I'm happy with this one though, even if the light wasn't perfect - I used a light meter to take an incidence reading (meaning I was standing by the subject pointing the meter towards the camera and recording the actual light falling on the subject) but it was quite dark.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone know where I can get a roll of old 620 film developed? In clearing out a family house we found a pile of old films. We have had the 35mm and a couple of other films developed but can't find anyone to do the 620.

The films have a variable survival rate, some have quite a lot of usable pictures, on others only one or two pictures survive.

I'm not completely sure but i think 620 is essentially the same as 120, just with a slightly different spool size and film leader - if that's correct anyone who can develop 120 might be able to do it

Let me ask a couple of the people I buy my film stock from, they may be able to help

I'm assuming it's colour film?

That is what I understand it to be - I was hoping you would be along soon....

There's quite a few place that will still do it.

I would guess that it is black & white, it looks a though it came out of one of those old folding box cameras. Some of the stuff was 30 years old, this could be older.

Okie dokie - does it have any brand names or anything like that on it at all?

Sort of. Printed on it is "Process at Boots immediately". My guess is that "immediately" meant something like 30-60 years ago. I suspect that little or nothing has survived on it, but it would be nice to know. Just found in smaller letters tucked under a flap "Boots Film. black & white" which confirms things.
