Well what a bitterly disappointing service from pizza hut
I probably failed by using the online ordering in all honesty
no, that's how we do it! we have pizza hut at least once a month, usually more, and always order online.. unless we want to make use of the 25% off mentioned earlier, in which case we have to fall back to the more archaic phone method..

however I ordered the half and half you told me to, with the exception of the corn swap and i also swapped the olives for more cheese.
ah, forgot about the minging olives.. yeah, we always swap them for sweetcorn, or chillies or something..

Well what did i get? A cold (only 25 mins between ordering and collecting) pizza and two really really shitty cold sides. Thing and crispy base with no stuffed crust. minimal cheese but olives all over it, not just on one side. thay also neglected to give me my dips and drink until I prompted them.
Anyway I didn't realise the majority of this until i got home by which time i wasn't in the mood for going back so I ate it.
sorry to hear that, homes
did they not check it before you left? every single time we have collected from there, without exception, they have thoroughly checked the order, unprompted, before they would let us leave.. they've only ever got it wrong once, when they didn't swap the tomatoes out for sweetcorn, and they cooked us up a new one in about 10 minutes and plied us with free drinks while we waited

And it tasted shite. Literally awful, I would have sooner have had an al karim's pizza.
They weren't even that busy when I went to collect it (well busy enough to make, cook and let go cold a pizza in 25 minutes).
Sides = awful.
what sides did you have? their wings are cack imo (really fatty), but i love their wedges and their chicken strips.. far superior to domino's imo - the wedges are crispy & fluffy rather than squishy, and the chicken strips look like real breast meat, rather than reconstituted "nuggets"..

Also due to the shitty thin base it was about as filling as a weightwatchers ready meal grilled on a george foreman.
that's personal preference, i guess.. i love their thin base pizzas.. although, obviously not when they're cold, and covered in olives lol..

I have had many many great experiences with the hut when dining inside, this will be the last takeaway experience I have from them though I think.
that's a shame; as you can probably tell, i have nothing but praise for them and have only been disappointed once (and that was because i foolishly allowed my sister to collect it, who has no concept of time)..

TBH the toppings sound like they would be real nice if cooked to be eaten at the resteraunt (i.e. high chance of return as you actually see your food before you take it away
) so i might go back next weekend for it, depending on whether my phone call to the manager tonight is fruitful.
Anyone had grievences with PH before and if so how easy was it to get renumeration?
as i say, on the couple of occasions where they have got things wrong, i have always been very happy with the way they handled things..
domino's impressed me the most in that respect, though.. they messed up one of our orders a while ago (missed off half the toppings we asked for).. i phoned up to complain, expecting to get a free side with our next order or something (which i would have been happy with).. instead, we got our next order completely free! large pizza, couple of sides, dips - totally free! well played, domino's - well played
