Sorry to sound like a 'Nimby' but given the potential access problems, and the disruption that it would cause to what is a local nature reserve, I would be delighted if the current plans for buildings never came to fruition! not my 'manor', but have walked around the area many a time, either waiting for car tyres to be repaired at County Tyres on Astonfileds, walking with clients, feeding the ducks or twitching!
The pools and Marsh have some interesting Flora due to being slightly saline. Salt Water this far from the sea? As has been on here plenty of times, and I am sure many are aware, Stafford has a lot of salt beneath it. It used to a salt works up near the common,. Cows in Doxey Marches used to be white with salt having gone in for a dip. I work at Saltbank Court and tne mineral's name appears in many places around the town!
