1) The Police?

Most are fine, and are doing it because they want the world to be a bit better. Some are ***** who love the power but joined the police because they knew they couldn't hack the armed forces.

2) Cuts to the Police?

If there are unsolved crimes we either need more police, or need the current ones to work smarter. I don't see how cutting them helps, unless you cut ones who never solve crimes.

3) Private Sector involvement?

Our law and order system should never have profit as an agenda, farming off jobs like office cleaning and answering phones is acceptable, but never any department that has any power to alter the law. We should leave that to a load of out of touch public schoolboys in a big old hall down south.

4) Police Pay/Pensions?

Apparently we are all in this together, they are just the next rank to fall. I believe a lot of teachers are striking again tomorrow to show support.

Much of it already does have profit as an agenda. That's why leglislation gets so heavily influenced by lobbyists/political donations/bribes/call them what you will...

I totally agree with the march/demonstration. I doubt it will do much good though (sadly).

This governement are killing off our services, including the police.

The governement are paving the way for privatisation - and outsourcing all the jobs. The government say its backroom staff - trust me it isnt !! West Midlands force are heading that way and dont think it will be long for Staffordshire. RIpieces to our police forces.

Surely even Mr. Cameron and Mr. Clegg can see that if you outsource to a private firm (Steria) they are only init to make money! because they are only interested in profit - thats less money going into the police force. (hope you understood that)

Police Officers will be balloted to see if they want to have the right to strike action - i dont think the majority will accept that - but how else can they make the government take notice.

Well technically the money should be the same, as they can't justify outsourcing if it costs more. They will just employ **** staff, cut corners wherever possible and generally **** things up to make their profit instead.
