Post House Issues

Not sure you are reading between the lines and the owner having gone out of business was some months back as was the change of ownership at the Post House was even before that, this has led to an oversight on their part with not changing the license and the named holder. Hence why thye have had to re-apply to planning which ends on the 11th November.
Plus the new owner is right, what a previous owner going bankrupt has to do with it I am not sure. But it is the son and daughters who now operate it as far as I know.

The police has issue with not supporting a temp license for the charity event this weekend, although the writing of the piece is making it confusing. But all this has been covered already on this forum and press 2 weeks ago, just the express and star are catching up :buddy:

The underage drinking part is something a number of venues have been caught out doing in Stafford and Stone including: The Swan Hotel on the high street. All have put measures in place to prevent this from happening again, IF you believe the reports.

All premises need to better train their staff

Trained, retrained and challenge 25 now in action, so please bring your proof of age into town with you or you'll be having a night of soft drinks!!

We were in New York early on this year and went into a bar and was asked for ID before they would serve us - I'm 41 and the other person who was with me was 48. Now that's extreme but I can see this is heading (if not already) the way of some parts of the U.S.

I was asked how old I was yesterday, just as a general point in a chat - I had to think for a minute and do a bit of arithmetic - it's not a bit of information that I keep instantly to hand any more..

As a non driver I obviously don't carry a license and am a bit old for the young folks 'honest i'm old enough, guv cards' What kind of ID would I be looking at to prove my age? No way i'm going out with my passport (which is out of date now come to think) or my birth stickyfoot.

I'm in a similar situation - and since I don't legally have to carry any id with me I'll happily take my money elsewhere if people are playing silly buggers - I'm clearly not under 18 and only in a good light do I look under 25.

However PASS cards are fairly cheap so I might bow down to pressure to get one, although I'm put off by how blatently they are trying to flog pre paid visa cards

The owners past and new are from the same family.
There are people and companies who are owed money from the "Owner".
He has recently transferred ownership of many assets.

I'm very put off by those cards and I think the only way i'll have one is if it becomes law. I'm way too old to get age checked. I'm nearly 39 and I definitely look it if not older. I know places have to check but some of us just don't posses ID. They must be a better way of doing it.

Old

Old news, move on and stop bringing up the past for the poor people of The Post House!

I searched the forum for "post house" before starting the thread and couldn't find anything of note.

I have very little (sorry no sympathy) for people who transfer businesses off in a "pre-pack" style.

I have no connection with The Post House, I read the story in the Express and Star this week. My concern would not be with the "poor people at the post house" more so the "poor creditors".
