Anybody on here had any success with halting developments of this kind ? If so, any constructive advice would be most appreciated.
The bottom of Truro Way will be a nasty little accident blackspot with the extra traffic generated, especially as people park builders vans etc just prior to the junction.
Someone raised the parking issue at the meeting and Barratts raised the point that parking restrictions could be used to limit on road parking (yellow lines!) - not sure where people will be able to park. The builders van is a nightmare - dangerous and not a pretty site. There is an existing clause in everyone's house sale agreement for saxonfields that does not allow the parking of commercial vehicles or caravans on the estate though!

That clause was in the sale agreements up at Baxter Green in Doxey, you couldn't change the windows or doors without prior agreement with the builders,or even paint yr front door. Bloke 1 side of us used bring home his bright yellow bt van every evening and weirdy other side had a british rail van parked on his drive too.

The Planning Inspectorate, which rules on appeals and is an arm of the
Department for Communities and Local Government, says it will be using new
guidance on presumption in favour of developers with immediate effect
despite the consultation period having three months to run.

So, your local planning dept is obliged to keep within the rules but if you appeal you are quids in...

Its a bit harsh to try and stop people parking their work vans at their own home just cus people dont like looking at them. I know it might be in a clause but really, are peole really that sad to take issue with it? As long as they arent blocking anyone elses access then its a real lowball.

There's no bins up our road when I contacted the council about having some placed the reply I got was there use to be bins placed on lamp posts but residents complained about them being outside their houses, so now we just have tons and tons of litter to contend with obviously ppl must think it adds value.

Sadly, a lot of people don't use the bins when the are bins there. I'm forever picking up rubbish and putting it into the normally empty street bin.
