PYE Turntable

Can anyone tell me if this turntable is a stand alone player or has it come from a music system. Any information on it would be greatly appreciated. TiA.

A view of the connections at the back would give a better clue, but the presence of a volume control would suggest it's a stand-alone item with speaker connections.
