Tnx. I think I've seen them in the argos catalogue etc. I think I bought one for my youngest nephews mobile phone so he can get music or games or something. He's got an ipod as opposed to iphone.SD card is just a particular format of memory card. Probably the commonest...
Beware of the three sizes...I think I've seen them in the argos catalogue etc.
Aaa ah I wouldn't have thought about that thank you! I will now make sure I am prepared and know which one!Beware of the three sizes...
Lol - now you've added more into the mix lol. I'll never decide! Really good to know about ease of use as mums used to the iPhone & ipad. Can she do everything on the kindle fire that she could don the versus touch tab?the only tablet i've used to any extent is the ipad, which i would recommend to anyone and think is well worth the money, so i'm probably not much use in this thread - but i just thought i'd pitch in to say that my mum (who is well into her 60s) used a friend's amazon kindle fire a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved it, and is looking to buy one now..
she had never used an ipad/any kind of tablet before, and just picked it up and figured out the kindle straight away.. she was using skype and all sorts.. so if my ol' dear can just pick one up and use it, they must be pretty user-friendly, i reckons!
Why not pop into CW on Queens Retail Park on a weekday. They're all there for you to ave a play with and the guys in the shop will leave you alone to play at your leisure.L

I will. I must get round to it and I have enough costa points for a coffee & a sarnie so I'll have a day out at cpw! I don't need any persuading lol. I'm always popping in there as I love all the new phones / tablets but haven't needed to but any tech stuff since April lol. So glad we have mums 70th coming up as gives me an excuse lol. Expensive year this year as I'll be on here soon asking about laptops for nephews university place in Sept, a family members 50th bday as well and I also need a decorator before mums 70! Think I'll be working well beyond 70 lol!Why not pop into CW on Queens Retail Park on a weekday. Let us know how it performs once you are used to it pleaseThnx G. That's a bargain. I've bought something on saturday though at carphonewarehouse - a versus touchpad 7. Very cheap but seems to be ok.
The Galaxy tab is fine, but I am constantly hitting limitations where I know that the reason I can't see a particular video/view all the interactive elements of a newspaper is because I am on an Android device. From what I have gathered, when I have complained vociferously, it is easy for clever people to make things that work on ipads because it is one operating system/platform/something but there are lots of different kinds of Android, so it isn't practical or economical for them to provide me with functionality.
My husband got an ipad mini. I thought it would be too small for him - he has got very frustrated with fiddly phone keyboards in the past. In fact, I was relatively confident that it would be coming my way. No such luck. It is miles better than my tablet, the screen is amazing, it's fast and clever and I wish it was mine. I can't admit I was wrong now. It would set a dangerous precedent. But if I was making the choice today, I'd go for the ipad.
Don't ever be suckered by one of those. I went through endless hoops to apply online for my cashback and never received anything.

I decided that maybe I'd jumped the gun when I read some feedback etc so I took it back without opening it and trying it! I will start looking into it a bit more again over the next few weeks. Thnx a lot.Let us know how it performs once you are used to it please
