A few posts under my belt
Hi
Does anyone know of anyone who fixes or knows about old turntables, I've got a 1973 Dynatron Goldring G102 Belt Driven Transcription Unit ( don't know what that means but it says it on the unit) I would love to get it working please help.
Thanks.

Is this a Goldring turntable in a Dynatron music centre? Is it just the turntable itself that not functioning?

This sort of thing...

What doesn't it do?
the turntable goes round really slowly but if you place a vinyl record on it it stops. I don't have any speakers for it so don't know what it sounds like. I was given it by a friend who had stored it away in a garage for years.

It could just be the lubrication has gone stiff, or the belt has gone sticky. Does it stop with just the weight of the record or is it the drag of the needle?

I might be able to have a look in a couple of weeks, but logistics are difficult at the moment.
