I was going to post this thread last year but never got round to it, so thanks to Spelunker for reminding me by posting about the unwanted gas bottles he needed to get rid of!
My friend makes these out of recycled gas bottles...all of these are from 15kg ones but other sizes can be done. They're stripped back to bare metal and then sprayed with high temperature silicone paint (rated to 600°).
They're sturdy and durable, whilst also being nice to look at!
This one doesn't come with a lid, is approx. 70cm long and is £60.
This is the same as the above but with a lid. Same length, £120.
This is my favourite. Same size bottle but the chimney takes it up to approx. 5ft high. £140.
