Restaurants in Stafford

Hello everyone,

I am visiting Stafford in the near future and I'm pretty clueless about the place. Can anyone tell me of fun things to do, or nice restaurants to go to? I also love shopping, is there a nice shopping centre or anything?

Any help would be great, thanks!! x

Lovely Little County Town. Shopping centre is a bit quiet, with not enough independant shops; badly affected by current econimic climate . Restaurants? I won't list my favourorites, but there are plenty to go at in and arround the town, and they are all reveiwed on here. I am a veggie, and my favourite place to eat in town is Pizza Express (they do do meat!), I know its a chain, but never had a bad time there! You'll find it in the Market Square and a lovely, if modest, square it is to! Walk down the town centre as far as the Ancient Hgh House, pop in to the free museum, then go through the passage way that leads past St Mary's Church, and on to Victoria Park. I once lead a group of people from out of Stafford, round the sights, and they didn't fall asleep! Infact commented how much they liked the place!

See thats what I love about this place, and Ford come to think of it, always someone who can answer your question.and add knowledge.

PS For a small fee I am sure he'd look out his notes, and give you a guided tour, never thought I would say this, but I yearn 4 the days when he whittered about his injury and his walk! Ed
