If we have examples of him questioning the same sort of missing information he hasn't questioned in this instance it proves he is fully aware that the missing information is required. Basically it proves the error in judgement on this application cannot be down to lack of knowledge, proving he was not thorough for one reason or another.

Still doesn't prove corruption but does prove inability to carry out his job effectively.

If people are upset by this may I suggest to arrange an actual physical protest, posters, invite people, invite the media(radio, local news etc). This may then get more people to ask the right questions. Equally it may have a reverse affect. A lot of people will support a new rugby club.

A lot of people would certainly support a new rugby club, if we didn't have a perfectly good one already, as the council's own documents confirm.

The officer's report identifies numerous reasons why the proposal shouldn't be given planning permission, but then ignores all the rules and policies.

The same benefits for the rugby club and sports facilities could still be gained at another less sensitive site, and there is not enough evidence to show that an alternative location would be so detrimental as to not provide those benefits

Looking at the officers report the above statement is spot on by SWT

Did the rugby club sponsor the half marathon? Cos the amount of water bottles scattered across the place looks like someone wants the place destroyed!

Going back to the topic of Judicial Review , who made this possible ?

The good people of Stafford and surrounding areas , without you and your support the fund raisers and donators for helping to achieve this momentous success against Stafford Borough Council

Is it all settled now? Have they all resigned for wasting our money? Maybe we could get Ian Duncan Smith as our new chief exec, if he's prepared to take a salary increase and only work a three day week.

New document on planning website. The council made a rare mistake.:stafford:

Correction to the officer report. An original call-in by Councillor I Davies was withdrawn. However, a second call-in by Councillor I Davies dated 10 February 2016 remains valid, having been received after the first call-in was withdrawn. Councillor I Davies (Ward Member for Doxey and Castletown) has called in the application for the following reasons:- Environmental, road safety and residential impact.”
