I just looked at the page and it said it had all gone through and they had to go to the high court to finalise things.

The truth the whole truth

Indeed , quite obvious it was going to be approved ,
the admission by the council in an administration error on a EIA , let's hope the DCLG see things differently , they don't intervene until a decision is made. And then afterwards the other route again JR so Stalemate

Do they have to supply any form of reasoning to the decision, or do they just do what they want? I thought we had at least one of them on our side?

Remember, this meeting was always likely to be a formality, the real battle is ahead. Yes, the DCLG might call it in, or there could well be another judicial review. If those fail to stop it, then the real strength is in the use of UK legislation and European Directives against the Rugby Club itself.

Stafford's planning system is subtly different from elsewhere in GB, in that decisions are made without reference to rules or any kind of legislation.

I am not a local but if I was I would ask the press to get involved and see what they find out ... just a suggestion.

Well if we had a crusading local newspaper, unafraid of upsetting the local gentry and keen to delve into the murky world of local politics...... ah no we dont (oh bugger)
