Rugby Club progress...

Enjoying a drop of red.
Worst thing is I'm not even remotely surprised. Actually no, worst thing is people will read that and still vote for them because they always vote that way :(
Trouble is there's nobody else to vote for as all sides support it.

Unless you start your own party Tek, things will never change.

Or I could be in charge of education, or even health, apparently you can be a massive Hunt and still do those jobs.

Statement in Rugby Club Facebook Page below , It will be a nervy six weeks for the applicants I suppose with JR #2 , do you think it warrants continued opposition or let them carry on with it ? , recent reports of mayhem from the Range opening, the car parking issues and now Greyfriars Business Park applying a permit only parking , begs to question the traffic implications ,

There Facebook post below

"We are delighted to report that the Secretary of State has confirmed that he will not be calling in the Stafford Rugby Club application. He had already confirmed that Stafford Borough Council were correct in their assessments of the need for an Environmental Impact Analysis or Cumulative Impact Analysis".

This clears the way for the planning application to be approved. Hopefully there will be no more tax payers money wasted and we can begin to build a top class sporting facility for the young people (and the old people) of Stafford

Don't worry about traffic. Rugby club says it'll only be 550,000 visits in the next five years, and they're all walking or coming by bike along the old railway track.

At least the rugger chaps can admit they've been wasting taxpayers' money, but it's very disappointing there will be no top class facility for us middle-aged.

Ummm, I might have missed something on this but given that it wasn't the rugby club that called in the planning application to the Secretary of State or applied for the judicial review then our taxpayers money was actually being wasted (with hindsight) by those that did apply for the JR and SoS review?
