Being a local resident I am still to be convinced on all access and parking issues, so that will have to stay as "pending".
However, Mr Lennon tried to give some assurance, in person on a few points a couple of weeks ago so all I can do is take his word.
The area that the pitches and club are going onto is the highest part of land and also consists of a gravel and sand base, according to surveys, so this should not only help with drainage, but also help avoid flooding if the waters rise. The area it is all being developed on is an area likely to be described as a flooding occurrence of one in over 100 years. Certain parts of the site have already been worked on and this will help preserve some of the wildlife. The car park will also have a camber or gradient that will help the water drain away towards the marsh rather than back towards houses.
I'm note sure if this is in print anywhere but thought I'd share it.
Ah so the crud off the car park, the oil, the petrol and other chemical detritus will drain into the ecolgically fragile marshes. You couldn't make it up
