Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini

I notice Samsung announced the Galaxy S3 Mini yesterday...

Was hoping for a powerhouse, same as the big S3 but with a smaller screen/package..

Unfortunately it is dual core and probably no better than the S2 but a higher price... what a waste.

Samsung obviously don't want to rob sales from the S3. For me, a 4.8" screen is too big. A 4" screen is ideal so a shrunken S3 with quad core would be attractive. Downgrading the specs, especially the camera is a wasted opportunity.

Fair enough, is that the only difference? We aren't due 4G til 2014 last time I checked, but I know a dozen or so cities will get it this year.

Think so yeah. Oh, and there's a Titanium handset colour option which isn't available with the S3. I've been told that Stafford will be a priority due to being on the M6 & West Coast Mainline...either way, I didn't want to be stuck with a non-4G phone for 24 months! It obviously works on 3G too and cost me the same as the non-4G version.

Anyone getting an S3 now would be crazy not to get the LTE version - unless of course they get the non-LTE version a lot cheaper...

Think of resale value in 2 years time when 4G is fully rolled out - the non-4g ones will be worthless.

Yeah, unfortunately I've had mine a few months now. Got it on release pretty much, no mention of a 4G one then :(

o2 can't even get 3G everywhere so there is no chance of 4G.

And today I can't even make a bloody call as their network is down - again.
