Saying goodbye

Oh that's a shame.
People have different opinions and are entitled to express them so I don't take it personally unless its directed at me. However I think a certain amount of sh*t was directly against WMR and it was a bit harsh.
As henryscat said its easy to lose the tone of the conversation and take things the wrong way online. Despite me not liking the views that henryscat has (they would appear to be the exact opposite of mine) I just ignore them and see the funny side. In fact I'd be interested to hear the background to henryscat on how they came across such strong opinions on so many varied subjects.
Hopefully WMR will cool down and come back.
I'm on here as I am interested in the town that I live in. I'm not here to make friends, but I certainly wouldn't set out to rub anyone up the wrong way. However just like in the workplace or the pub its inevitable people will fall out from time to time.

Sorry you got driven off WMR, but can't say I blame you.

I just hope that my opinionated self did not influence your decision. ;)

Good luck bud.

This is patently untrue. There is only one person in this thread who is designated as "Staff".

Gramaisc has been given Moderator status, as I think we can all agree that he is just about the most likeable and level-headed person on The Forum, and so he has the ability to tidy things up, should he need to. There are only 3 Moderators on Stafford Forum, so to imply there are "many others" is a flagrant exaggeration.

Just to clarify... That isn't what I said. The "many others" referred to the making of personal comments. The bit in brackets refers to at least one person who did make personal comments in another thread and at that time could not be ignored because of his staff status- which we corresponded about. I have not said there are many others with staff status, so the accusation of flagrant exaggeration is somewhat unfair.
