I just really like to say thankyou when someone done something really kind :)

And I think biscuits say it best - I like the idea that the kind person will sit down after a long day with a cup of tea and dunk the chocalaty covered goodness and really really enjoy them :)

Oh and If I knew someone who worked in a biscuit factory I would marry them :)
I used know a woman who worked at Elks biccy factory in Uttoxetor. She said, if you knew what the staff did while making them, you wouldn't touch another biscuit as long as you lived.

I've seen some pretty nasty things working as a waitress - one at one place (I wont name names) the chef laid all the dishes out to be taken to the tables by us - on one plate right on top of the steak was a massive moth, wing side down legs still running akimbo - I said 'erm chef....' and pointed to it - he just picked it off and said 'good girl'

YUK!

There's 1 of the supermarkets in town (others are available), where they used drop dough on the floor, pick it up and slap it in the tins. I have never bought a store baked loaf as long as the place has been open.

I don't want to know! Don't ruin biscuits for me!

On another note I REALLY need a sofa - I only have a van for 1 day tomorrow and desperately need something asap!

You tried Katherine House hospice up by the tip?
Facebook selling groups?
Freegle?
All good places to look, especially the latter two if it needs to be cheap or even free.

I have a very comfortable swirly computer chair that needs a home if you're passing and desperate for anything to sit on? (ooo er!). No biscuits required (I'm cutting down)

Ow thankyou WMR :)

I have tried preloved, gumtree, paper etc (I don't have facebook)
I'm going KHouse tomorrow so fingers crossed!

I have just entered into a 'sofa showdown' with some twit on ebay who doesn't understand if you advertise a sofa on ebay for X amount and it doesn't sell for X amount therefore it is not worth X amount.

Everything has a price and a sofa that is older than me and has something living in it is worth what someones willing to pay for it - not some over zealous imaginary price....

There was a rather splendid looking red leather sofa bed out the front of the British Heart Foundation shop
at 10:30 on friday morning.

Sorry, couldn't get a price, someone was faffing about over it.

No worries - I have just made a provisional hold on a green velour sofa (ooh er) a bit more than I wanted to pay but the covers can be removed and washed so at least I will have somewhere clean to sit on christmas day :)

Thankyou all for your help - I will sit this christmas! Hurah!
