Do the EU fine you for dredging rivers? It'd probably be cheaper to just have the river dredged and then pay the EU fines.....
Do the EU fine you for dredging rivers?

Flooded Wetherspoon pub to remain closed for monthsSeems atm it hasn't yet reflooded, who knows by the end of today though. But it's running months behind schedule. Looks like it's summer at the earliest, so long as there's no further problems.
But seems the ceiling has been damaged by mould and dampness during the closure.
So a full restoration of that is now required too.
Unfortunately it is now known the pub will not reopen until Friday, May 1.
IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RECENT RAIN. The roof has been in a poor state for sometime.
I remember that.I remember frequenting The Picture House 'Spoons in the first couple of weeks when it first opened back in 1997.
We were standing near the top where the meals are largely served these days when all of a sudden a large thud and then a plume of dust came rising up from a table where a couple were sitting eating their meal.
Just as you walk in from the right hand side as you get into 'Spoons, a large part of the ceiling had fallen down and landed right on the table of the said couple.
The deputy at the time quickly moved the couple to another area and gave them another meal, strategically placed chairs around the area where the ceiling had fallen in, and the night continued as 'normal'.
If you look up at one of the 'ceiling roses', it's the one on the far left as you look at the picture nearer the entrance. Up until a few years back, you could see where they'd quickly patched it up but it has had a couple of layers of paint since so it might not be so obvious now.
The building is well worth preserving and might even make a good cinema.Iconic... it’s a shithole and has been for years.
Yep, exactly. The building is well worth preserving and might even make a good cinema.
Is the spoons part of it that's not do good but such is...
