Ive been enjoying listening on my way to/from work. I cant seem to find the station on my ipod though to listen at home?

Good work though - great mix of tracks that I haven't heard for ages. Haddaway What is Love brought back some memories!

Any idea on the listener numbers?

Congratulations on winning The Natwest Community Force award :)
I found myself accidentally listening to Signal1 in the car earlier, and couldn't help but notice that they are signalling their affiliation with the

COMMUNITYFORCE initiative.

I'm sure they will be the first to congratulate you.

May i join them in doing so - congrats Stafford FM :)

Me too DB! Let's face it if it isn't on FM they are going to lose most of their listeners - including me! Really can't be bothered to listen to radio on the laptop and certainly haven't got internet radio in the car!

It has been great listening to it over the last month. I can't think of many other radio stations that have such a diverse offering of music. Really enjoyed the old skool show with Scott Miles tonight - some quality tunes!

I really hope you get the go-ahead for a permanent FM licence - for me, and i suspect most people, the radio is the companion in the car and the kitchen, both PC-free zones.

I will still listen on-line when i'm able, but fear BBC is right and listeners will be lost without a radio-wave presence. Here's hoping hey? :)

Rob Halden's guests on Saturday's Comedy Club will include Wolvehampton-based comic Paul Savage. Listeners may recognise Paul as a regular for JUICE Comedy nights at Joxer Brady's, as well as the resident compere for our shows at The MET Studio. Paul was also our JUICE Comedy Performer Of The Year 2009

Also on the show will be the Telford-based, anarchic and zany prop-comedian Roger Swift, who was JUICE Comedy Performer Of The Year 2010. Roger is a unique and maniacal comedian on the stage, and Rob will be interviewing him on his comedy career so far.

Tune on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for chat, banter and nonesense, as well as clips and excerpts from some of comedy's true greats. We'll also have The One And Only Song Request as well as daft games and general misbehaviour.

It'll be our last show on FM until the next RSL, so please tune in.

87.7 on the FM or via staffordfm.com

I'm trying to "support" Stafford FM by listening and then that awful coughing advert comes on... yeah, if that comes back again I won't be listening much longer, so annoying.

When can they get full licence? and why can't they have one now. Had only just tuned in at home as well. I'd rather listen to them than BBC radio stoke which always seems very negative when they do stuff on Stafford

From what I understand, Offcom, who issue the licenses, are not issuing any permanent ones until 2013. They obviously regulate who can get one of these, so our airwaves are not clogged with commercial stations that don't serve a community need. So until that time a radio group can apply for a temporary one which lasts 4 weeks, sort of as a trial run in proving to Offcom that they operate under all the appropriate guidelines (swearing, content etc.) and so they can prove that they are fulfilling a need in the local community.

We might get a better answer from someone higher up in the group, but that's how I understood things.

As stated above, Ofcom are the national regulator for broadcasting (amongst other roles) and they issue full time licences in 'rounds' presently community radio applications are being considered for new broadcasters in Scotland. The next time any new operators in the West Midlands region can be considered is the latter half of 2013.
We have just run a 28 day Restricted Service Licence which can be applied for twice in any year, therefore you will certainly be hearing more of Stafford FM via Fm sometime in 2012 - we will announce the dates asap.
Of course radio is all moving to digital platforms in one way or another, as has TV, and it is predicted that Fm transmissions will end for the BBC stations sometime after 2015 (government are thinking about this). Therefore more and more radio will be listened to via internet streams which we are continuing to provide until the next Fm broadcasts.
You can hear us via our website www.staffordfm.com or by downloading the tune-in application to your smartphone. Or, why not buy an internet radio for yourself as a Christmas present and continue to listen to Stafford Fm in the New Year.

This Saturday on The Comedy Club we'll be starting our new feature, On The Stage, a series of career retrospectives on the legends of comedy. We start the series with the one and only Lenny Bruce.

We'll also be looking for your favourite Christmas Cracker jokes, playing The One & Only Song Request for some lucky listener, and playing some classic comedy clips and excerts. My guest will be Wolverhampton comedian Paul Savage, and we'll also be chatting to Tom Sofa about his Indie Music show and all things Stafford.

So tune in to The Comedy Club, Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
And don't forget to listen to Tom Sofa's Indie Music Show tonight at 8 pm!
