I mean the constitution bullshit that brown signed in 2oo7. You know, the one that castrated the UK and made us Brussels bitch? The one where we get told we have to pay them billions a year to get told what to do, the one where they tell us we cant have a vacum cleaner over a certain wattage and that anyone from a country in the union can come over here and we will give them stuff for free.
Do you mean the Lisbon Treaty? The Constitutional Treaty was never ratified. Are any other European Treaties of concern?

I've got a huge vacuum cleaner and I'm going to stay using it.

'Red' Ted Heath, I remember him well, one of the biggest traitors this country has had the misfortune to call Prime Minister.

I had a lovely letter from Ted once, around 1985. He had been misquoted in Back Street Heroes magazine and I tipped him off about it.

I must still have it somewhere.

And what does that generation who sacrificed so much think about their country being flooded with foreign johnnies and the country being a part of Europe dominated by the Germans?

Go and talk to my parents and they will tell you!
Nah, that's all right thanks, I had plenty of time to talk to my own parents, both of whom were in uniform throughout the Second World War. And you know what, they may have had some rather old-fashioned attitudes, but they'd seen where ignorance and intolerance of difference gets you. So they had German, Indian, Pakistani and German Jewish refugee and Auschwitz survivors of the same generation amongst their circle of friends in Yorkshire in the 60s and 70s. None of those people would have given UKIP the time of day, having lived through what they lived through. I'm proud to have known them. I could not say the same about some of the ignorant bigots who aspire to positions of representation and leadership in Britain now.

There may be some better insults to call him if the internet rumours are true, but in the absence of of any evidence, I'd call him the last of the One Nation Tory PM, certainly not a traitor and a trait certainly devoid from any later Tory PM.

Never forget the Daily Mail's position.

Mt parents have Hindu's on one side and Sikh's on the other and love them to bits, they are the fairest most un-bigoted people I know but they feel they have been betrayed by our politicians.

Alistair Campbell promised to eat his kilt on the basis of the same poll.

Ashdown was quick to add a caveat that it be made of marzipan - i don't recall Campbell being quite so quick.

TBF l'actualité was a good deal worse than the forecast, but was broadly on the money - the egghead was visibly thrilled about the whole thing, and became more thrilled, and egg-like, as the evening progressed.

The best thing about it was that the egghead really had an egg-shaped head.

I say 'best' - not quite as good as having money on it come good, but i'm not a betting man myself.

Still surprised it wasn't as close as it wasn't.

Everything bad about our country is Blair and Browns fault, benefits was a lifestyle under labour it should be a emergency last resort unless you're disabled. They've ruined the NHS, sold all our gold and put us all on our knees, if you back labour then you either love benefits or youve been told by the older generation that labour is for working folk which is utter rubbish.

O....k...".

That phrase will have suddenly gone onto the critically endangered list. To which responsible authority, one wonders, should sightings of this now rare and exotic form of words henceforward be reported? The Royal Society for the Remembrance of Lies Past Their Use-By Date? Lynton Crosby? Some friend of Michael Green?
