So any forumites do the half marathon today? It was my first one and I manageda time around 1:43 (to be confirmed).

To anyforumites that didn't run but came out as support, thanks alot, it certainly helped!

I didn't and never could. I admire those who can, especially when being sponsored for a good cause. Stafford Forum's own BBC ran it in 1:55. I see the winner finished in 1:11...I can't see myself doing a mile in that time! Well done all.

I did, managed 1.45 exactly.

just wanted to say a big thank you to all the people who came out to support the runners, seemed even more than last year. People may not really realise it as you cant acknowledge everyone whilst running but the support is massively appreciated and really makes you feel proud to be a staffordian :stafford:

Congrats to all who ran it. :)

I used to do lots of running myself up until a few years ago, when the old knees started playing up through racing too much in the past!
I always go and watch the Stafford Half and clap and cheer everyone as they pass. I know from all those races that I have done that it really does make a difference and gives a real boost when you get encouragement along the way.
(Nothing so off-putting as running past a crowd along the side of the road who just stare at you in silence!)

Well done to all who took part and , after watching it again this year, my biggest dream is to get myself fit enough again to do another 'Stafford Half' sometime in the future.
