I am sorry, but the talk is just babble, I didn't even listen to most of it! My son had a bottle tossed at him at 'V'. He rang us while we were in Cornwall, and said he had left A&E, after being told it would take 5 hours to be seen! The strips he had, had applied at 'V', had split in the night. After we had seen a photo' of the gash, we reccomended he return. After waiting 5 hours, he came away after being told he would still face a protacted wait! Thank god his eye seems to have clured up without to much scaring; IMO he should still have had a stitches! This is the same son who had a ruptured cruciate ligament, undiagnosed at Stafford A&E, and had to go to Oswestry for a reconstruction 3 years post accident. It was undiagnosed for 2 years, and came to light as he kept falling over! The happy end is that he has done well enough in his 'A' Levels to get into Liverpool Uni', his dreams of going to Loughboro' on the back of his football talent, distant memories.
If Stafford A&E has realy improved, then the only way we will be able to judge it, is by personal experience, and I'm afraid my most recent is well below standard.
OK I may be biased, after my pre enquirey experiance. My son is 18, and wasn't severally hurt, but having to wait well over 5 hours, for some one to start definative care, is not clever
He'd been to the GP's and they had sent him up to A&E.
