Stafford ninth best place to live in the UK?

I live in Stafford and am happy to do so, it has a lot going for it.

TBF some of what it once had going for it has either already gone, or is in the process of going. Neither of which is 'for it'.

There are many, many, worse places to live, just as there are likely to be many better.

I'm staying here - i'm as like to be happy here as anywhere else. :)

How do I edit this?
Only 9th?

Looking at the article I can see why the town scored well. They asked how happy people were and then divided by the cost of living. Stoke is cheaper, but would you really be happy about being stuck in Stoke? The Cotswolds are lovely, but only livable if you have a million quid in the bank. Stafford sits nicely in the middle - pleasant, but not pretty enough to be expensive. I've lived in big cities & tiny villages & Stafford is where I've been happiest.

If someone turned the Mercedes showroom by the station into a tapas bar and then three micro bars were opened between the station and the Universal it would double deffo help

Born here! Raised here till went to Sheffield Uni. Lived in Scarborough for 6 Months. Came back for couple of years. Moved to Rochdale till my first one was born. Came back as it is good safe place to raise a family, middle of England, excellent transport links, easy access to C' Chase, Peak's, ect. & free babysitting is also a bonus! ;) Love the place, and of course the Boroughs foremost football team!
