I've lived in stafford for about a year. As with anywhere there are beautiful people who make life better, its just that sadly, the beautiful people have a tiny, shitty canvas to paint their picture on.
Anything good that ever happens seems to get idolised and overhyped just 'cos its better than anything else available, seems like having a lack of choice, and consequently a lack of freedom, and therefore not enough room to genuinely express yourself and have independent thought processes, can affect your view on life and the people in it.
Its all very well being proud of where you come from, but if a point of view doesn't extend very far it just becomes small-minded, and pride starts to manifest itself in a type of aggression born out of a fear of anything thats vaguely unfamiliar.
When you expect more you get more, but people's expectations in stafford seem to be quite low and thats what you get back.
But hey, racists, homophobes, hicks, chavs and trendys are people too.
Arf Arf.
