If superdrug do move I hope their current building is demolished. Not only is the building ugly, by demolishing the building it will create an improved link / connection between the town centre and Staffordshire place.

I haven't watched a film at the new cinema yet, however I've been into the foyer and had a beer. It's very nice. A welcome addition to Stafford. I hope something can be done with the old cinema. However, it's going to need someone with deep pockets.

Went to watch Captain Marvel on Tuesday - it was a very comfortable experience but of course the food is crazy expensive.

I ahve vague memories of that having been a Tesco once?

Or am I just losing my marbles?

Yes, it was a Tesco food shop.

At that time they also had a Tesco Home and Wear shop in Market Street.

They closed both in the late 1970s / early 1980s and combined them in their new Tesco store next to the river.

It lasted longer than I thought then.

Oh the excitement of Riverside - no more brine baths !!! (School swimming trips) and a huge Tesco.

Easily pleased back in those days.
