I go to my exercise classes and gym classes since moving here to socialise. Made so many friends here going to them as well as having a good laugh. Enjoy the aqua classes and zumba , but also got swimming anytime included in my membership which I'm making the most of. I walk the 2 miles each way to the gym and classes unless it's night classes. (Made the mistake of going mad on the skiing machine the first time though , thinking it was too easy and going for 10k at hardest resistance. Had rubbery legs after )If someone is happy going to the gym and that’s what motivates them and keeps them fit, or if it’s that or no fitness at all then each to their own.
I joined a gym once and resented every second an every minute (and ££££) that I spent there.
As I said earlier, I don’t think that you have to go to a gym to keep fit, but we’re all different and those that do go are contributing to local business so whatever floats your boat.
It sounds like you're a lot happier since you moved?I go to my exercise classes and gym classes since moving here to socialise. Made so many friends here going to them as well as having a good laugh. Much happier . Never had any proper friends in Stafford , except for in our Stafford Harriers days years ago.It sounds like you're a lot happier since you moved?
I wouldn't have the coiurage to walk in the building to sign up, nevermind join in with everything!
And in Stafford you didn't have pubs quite like the Paul Pry and the Eagle Vaults.Much happier . Never had any proper friends in Stafford , except for in our Stafford Harriers days years ago.
I've made loads of really nice friends in the various classes here , and we also go for days out , meals & coffee etc.
I was petrified to walk into that first class, but so glad I did. And lost over 2 stone as well since starting in Feb.
Aquafit , hard aerobics in the water, up to my neck , with weights tonight. I daren't stop with that seargant major type instructor. The aqua zumba instructor makes hers more of a laugh... both a bloody good workout though and losing those inches!
I live less than 5 minutes walk from the town centre - depending on how my knees are. I can't remember the last time I went near the high street. Couple of years at least.
Likewise. My experience (and I do have very exact wants and sometimes niche requirements) is that I go into town, look for something, fail to find it or find something not very good or very expensive. Go home disappointed and just order it online like I should have done in the first place.
Apparently it is open again.Little dessert shop has a sign in the window saying refurbishment
Eastgate Costa? Do you mean the one by Primark?Looks like the eastgate costa will be going , i always thought they were pretty busy, sadly another nail in the coffin for that end of town
Or Salter Street/Gaolgate Street..?Eastgate Costa? Do you mean the one by Primark?
