Is it? If we were overcrowded wouldn't public transport work better, rather than constantly cutting bus routes? Crowded places can justify better infrastructure, our problem is customers are secondary to shareholders.Other nations have better weather than us, better infrastructure. The UK's problem is it is massively overcrowded. England's population density is ridiculous and only getting worse.
"our problem is customers are secondary to shareholders" might be the best eight words for summing up this country. Is it? Back in the day buses ran with far more extended hours than they now do and were very well used. It has to be joined up tho. Penalise car use and improve bus/walk/ cycle options. It needs a proper integrated plan and implementation. Ive said it before and I'll say it again, the Dutch manage it very well, why not us? The only difference is political will. It's difficult to catch a bus before 6.30am though....
And I totally agree, but how much running cost would there be, as opposed to users at that sort of time....
You think The Netherlands and Denmark have better weather than us?Other nations have better weather than us, better infrastructure. The UK's problem is it is massively overcrowded. England's population density is ridiculous and only getting worse.
Malta has 5x our population density, and an amazing bus network that cost €20/week for tourists to use at will (locals pay about half that). Grab a card from the machine at the airport, from the first journey you take it lasts for 7 full days so if you land at midday it runs til midday the following week meaning if staying for a week it will cover the whole time. Most routes run well after dark, we needed taxis if staying out til 3am and heading back to the opposite side of the island but you can't expect miracles.Other nations have better weather than us, better infrastructure. The UK's problem is it is massively overcrowded. England's population density is ridiculous and only getting worse.
More like "cars are easier for our bone idle population" or "public transport is shite so I'll just drive"."our problem is customers are secondary to shareholders" might be the best eight words for summing up this country.

May I suggest you not look very closely at the egg or milk industry. It only recently dawned on me that a bucket of 16 chicken legs or whatever requires the suffering in life and then the death of EIGHT chickens
I always feel the same when I put my leather belt on and feel for the poor cow that sacrificed their life....Bit of a strange location but better than an empty eyesore I guess although it won't do anything to gentrify the area!

I'm a vegan. I know very well how these animals suffer a lifetime of cruelty and immense suffering. What I struggle with is why others don't appear to careMay I suggest you not look very closely at the egg or milk industry.
