Stafford shops opening - Turning into a boom town?

Really?

I notice the pop up Halloween shop has now become a pop up Calendar club shop. I thought Peccadillo had the franchise for this in Stafford as they have always been in the Guildhall. Anyone know if this is them or a "usurper" (not suggesting anything illegal, but certainly a bit naughty if it is not them)

Judging by the receipt I got from Halloween HQ when I brought some stripy tights - and a quick google Calendar Club & Halloween HQ are owned by the same company (I assume specialising in seasonal pop up shops)

It appears to be a Sole operator business (http://www.calendarclubuk.com/stores) - It would just appear we have 2 of these operators in Stafford (or possibly one very enterprising person)

If I were Peccadillo I would not be a happy bunny if someone else moved in on my business after years of being faithful to the Calendar Club brand.

What's wrong with a little competition then?

I would rather see Stafford shops selling the same things (apart from even more coffee outlets) than see rows of empty shops even if the new sellers are only there temporarily.

It was empty when I went past on Monday.
The place is now full of cars, especially Citroen's and given the fencing around their Lichfield Road dealership (just Citroen, Toyota is fine) I'd say they were rebuilding/refurbing that and working out of Acton Gate in the meantime....

There is a big "Temp Showroom" sign on the window and a "site to let" sign outside so I guess you are right.
