When poundland, home bargains, a cancer research shop and greggs opens Queens will be full once again.

A shame its not the same for the town centre, but it will be good to see the retail park filling back up again

Is B&M still in the Queen's one? Thought they were the same owned group as Home Bargain ??

Used to use both the Queen's and Hough a lot , used to make them part of my daily walks .

Yup B&M is still at Queens and I'd be surprised if they left despite the shop certainly seeing better days!

Both companies were formed around the same area of the UK but both are owned by different companies. HB - TJ Morris and B&M - Simon and Bobby Arora who also own Heron Foods.

I really wish they would remove the speed bumps except for the last couple at Queens. Oh and have an exit lane (left turn only) onto Lichfield road way before the roundabout so those who aren't going left don't have to wait so long to get out.

Could do with an out of town shopping centre way out of Stafford, the traffic is just a nightmare and they keep adding more homes with any objection met with "cycle to town or get the bus". So when I need to take one of my dogs to the vets I just hop on a bus or cycle there do I? what if it can't walk?

Thanks for that , I was mis-informed then years ago.

I’m pretty sure those bumps are bordering on being too high, but I haven’t bothered going out there with a ruler to check

Probably to keep out the modded car crowd and their antics. Although judging by the tyre marks some of them seem to meet at Wildwood Park car park and do handbrake turns there instead.

Stafford seems to be an idiots paradise. Nothing ruins a nice peaceful walk over Cannock Chase like a bunch of kids on 125cc motorbikes with the baffles removed. But the Police don't want to know. This evening I saw some youths having a BBQ on the Marquis Drive green despite signs everywhere saying No BBQs. I expect tomorrow morning there will be beer cans and rubbish everywhere as usual.

To be fair to Stafford, Marquis Drive is Rugeley, or at an extreme push Cannock. Hardly Stafford.

So? It's between Stafford, Hednesford and Rugeley, plus people from Stafford can travel there. Plus the noise levels I was referring to was during my usual walk around the Brocton area which is part of the Stafford borough. People zooming up and down Camp Road and Google says "Camp Rd, Brocton, Stafford ST17 0SS". So it is Stafford.

Cannock at least has the sense to have a car cruising ban in force via a high court injunction.

They were racing each other around Wildwood ringroad most nights for a few years before we left , starting off from the Wildwood park carpark.
One ended up hitting the kerb on the bend where we were walking , veering across the road and starting to turn over landing against the rails of the church which bounced it back to upright again. This was the middle of the afternoon , scary thinking it could have wiped us out on the pavement!

Well thank you Captain Obvious, for telling me that Brocton is in Stafford Borough. I've only lived in Brocton since 2004 so I didn't realise.

People zooming up and down Camp Road. Well one or two do, obviously. But it's part of my daily (sometimes twice daily walk) with the dogs and to say it's much of an issue would be a gross exaggeration. Besides there are plenty of paths either side that mean you can leave the road for the cars and walk in a far better environment for pedestrians and animals.

No I think your post just reflects the general attitude in the vast majority of your posts, to be honest. You just can't live and let live. Unless everything meets your precise requirements, you moan and bitch about it. In fact you're precisely the kind of person that made me decide, quite some time ago that I never, ever wanted to live in a house with neighbours again.

But ST17 0SS is only the northern bit of Camp Road.
South of the junction with Chase Road it's WS12 4PT which is the Cannock post town.
