Annoyed tonight. 7 till 7 closure of Lichfield Road.... 6.40 approaching the Hough. They'd already shut the Lichfield Road diverting up towards KFC and round. Queued for 10 mins from B and Q to get to Lloyds for them to put cones out as we sat there to shut the road off resulting in everyone having to U turn and go back.

Had to go back to St Leonards and take a left turn to see they were still letting traffic through to this point. Surely shut Queensville off first then shut the rest off when all traffic cleared.

The M6 is shut because of an unsafe bridge over the motorway ( A51 )

I envisage stationery southbounders by the RAF camp trying to avoid the queue for J14, northbounders queuing everywhere heading for J15.
Wait until they see the surprises our Highways Departments have in store for them.

As I got on at Junction 12 this morning (about 8.30), the Traffic Officer blocking the entry slip road was packing up ready to re-open it.

They need to remove some fascia panels before they fall, but the bridge is structurally sound, so hopefully it'll open soon.

Don't see this very often - Stafford was not too bad on the western side earlier, Highfields. Probably caused by everybody being stuck in north end of town.

The M6 in Staffordshire is closed in both directions between J14 and J15 for emergency works. The closure is expected to remain in place in to this afternoon. There are currently severe delays southbound between J17 and J15 and also northbound between J13 and J14.

Road users are advised to allow plenty of extra time for their journey if travelling in the area today and are strongly urged to consider alternative routes, if possible.
