After chancing it down Radford Bank and getting through in about 4 changes of lights on the way out, came back a lot quicker via Sandon Road, Beaconside and Baswich lanes. Lovely keeping moving for a change.

"Out, round and back in" is the new "straightest line between two points".After chancing it down Radford Bank and getting through in about 4 changes of lights on the way out, came back a lot quicker via Sandon Road, Beaconside and Baswich lanes. Lovely keeping moving for a change.
Acton Trussell lanes were open just as I came back (with a few heart stopping moments meeting big things tearing around the bends)
Rising Brook traffic was queuing right the way back on the A449 to past the Argos Island by J13.
Not just Stafford in chaos. Hit massive roadwork queues in Worcester from Jct7 , decided to avoid them on the return journey by trying heading towards Jct6 for a change........a school bus crashed about 10 cars in front, blocking the road. Police made us all do 3 point turns in the road and had to go all the way back to where I'd just started in Worcester and join the mile + queue the usual way. Then broken down vehicles in M5 roadworks causing chaos, debris on road on M6 closing lanes... The radio traffic reports seemed to be following me along. At least I got back safe! (And playing dodgems with the rest of the traffic trying to avoid a car and lorry crashed on the 'live' hard shoulder lane, at least got past before the reported tailbacks that followed)
The indeterminate time period seems to have expired, the road was open today.I notice that the road from Little Bridgeford / Worston to Norton Bridge is closed at some indeterminate point along its length for an also indeterminate length of time.
could you be a little more precise please
Just think, when all the roadworks are done, why they wont have to dig them all up again for at least A BLOODY WEEK
Tesco are resurfacing the car park this morning & have a good 4 - 5 rows cordened off & a bloke directing traffic in & put in single file...
...probably best avoided....
