Seriously though SugarRay, is this a current thing or from the past? I knew of it's existence some years ago although I thought it had well and truly passed now.

Personally, I love Stone. Quiet yet not too quiet, plus people have always seemed friendly enough. Hey, even your town centre Christmas lighting puts Stafford's to shame!!
Yeah i just always thought it was there, but at least you got record stores and sport shops lol

I think winding people up on a Friday afternoon is a splendid occupation

However, Stafford is not a wealthy town and Cannock is not an entirely a poor one

Rujlee, however, does suffer from a lack of fiscal wealth

ah yes, now there's a place which could do with just flattening, whilst the population are asleep.

The new Zanzibar will soon die if so, as Stafford has always relied on its supply of agreeable Rugely females to keep the less desirable musick sheds in business.

In the sixties Stone was known as a bikers town whereas Stafford had a certain mod/skinhead following, however, that as they say is a generalisation. I vaguely remember one or two very minor incidents, and the memory of these incidents was of course magnified in folklore - culminating in a pitched battle outside the Swan Hotal in around 1980-81 when 'mods' and people with 'bikes' had a scrap. I believe the fracas was caught on camera and many of the participants appeared before the Guildhall beak

How things change - up until last year Stone was known as a Championship town - home to most of the Stoke City players. But things have changed once again and now the chaps are in the Prem their 24 centre halves have rural retreats
