Finger on the pulse.
Another phenomenal scoop for the Daily Mail.
Bill Cash banned from Pontins.
Misread one as Stokies! But I guess they are on another list
"The train now standing on Platform 2 has been delayed by the wrong kind of cat on the roof."
Or - Cat On A Hot Train Roof....
You do have to ask yourself WTF happened in there that required them to put this notice up .... ?
I was intrigued enough to google why ‘no penguins’ and, someone had phoned the bar to ask. Apparently it’s a euphemism for ‘no sagging pants’.
Ooooh, “sagging pants”
That really sophisticated look with the crutch at your knees & the waistband just low enough to show the skid marks in your designer boxers.
Never heard it called penguin though.
The best description I've heard of those saggy pants is: "Looks like he's carrying half a hundredweight of nutty slack in his keks."
I would imagine Penguins in general are not impressed by this usage.
Any self respecting penguin would be well p*ss*d off at that comparison.
I can quite understand them not accepting a booking from Stone's MP.
A bit more on the cat on a hot Pendo roof -
The cat was on the roof for nearly 3 hours and they moved the passengers for a Manchester service to a different train so that the cat wasn't taken up north.
It was eventually coaxed down by placing a bin next to the train for it to jump on to and safely left the station but it was lucky not to get 25kV up it's jacksie whilst up there.
Cat was heard to say: "Eeee baaa goom. When's tut bluddy train gunta pull out et bluddy station."
(You'll have to pardon my mix up of Yorks and Lancs, let's be honest ... there's not much difference between the two. (Retreats once more to the nuclear bunker.))
