Personally, I'm quite worried about what'll be left to my children when the dust settles. My son left uni in 2008, the year of the credit crunch, so 7+ years of austerity. Then Brexit, so 10 years of finding our way in the world. Then Coronavirus and every other person getting paid 80% of their salary for sitting at home doing nothing. Us boomers have had it easy by comparison.A lady I know in the US posted this on Facebook. A swipe at the Orange Knobhead as a feeling grows that he's more worried about the dollar cost of the present situation than the human cost.

one or two beers in the pubs on Rose Street,
Sometimes you only need one beer. With only "one or two" you must have been very selective about the pubs you went in, or is that something of an underestimate?

it was notorious for the number of pubs along its length.
I was one of those. Rose Street, then Lothian Road and a Fish supper in Tollcross, Only half's of 80'.It was 'Students Row' on the weekend when I was there (The Dummies Guide to Self Destruction.) I sometimes dream of that long walk back down Leith Walk with a 'Haggis Supper' from the 'Deep Sea.'
