We are holding an open mike/battle of the bands session in the near future and would like to invite local bands, duo's, soloists etc to send us your details to help us with our planning. We are holding an open mike/battle of the bands session in the near future...

this says that the event is on tomorrow night, wednesday 16th may

if you haven't actually set the date yet, i would just post a general information thread for the time being, then you can post a proper event once you know the date, innit!

if, of course, it is on tomorrow night, and i'm just massively confusing things, then soz lol..

Events are exactly that: Actual events that are taking place, with a definite start/end time, etc. and so should not be posted until they are confirmed. Since this is about something which hasn't actually been decided upon yet, I will close the Event, and you can post a new one once you know all the details.

In order to generate some interest and get some people for the Event, please post a normal thread about it in one of the other forums (I would recommend Music, seeing as it is a musical events).
