Dropped into the Greyhound for lunch today. Mrs Noah was defeated by the cod & chips but her son had no problems with the mixed grill
Before or after Stone ?
I got round the Poste of Stone, Royal Exchange, Borehole, Star, Swan, Red Lion and Bridge before the 5.33pm train home.

Enjoying a drop of red.
Yes indeed, but from a Stafford Forum it would surely be going northwards.
Not for me yesterday when coming back from Formby. North, South, East and West is a far more reliable way of describing a place's location in relation to the hub of the universe that is Stafford.

But "Before or after Stone" from "the hub of the universe that is Stafford" means northwards, not southwards, eastwards or westwards.

But other, less enlightened folk, may not see Stafford as the hub of the universe and their special needs should to be accommodated, surely. Or confusion will reign...

But you described Stafford as "the hub of the universe" and who am I to disagree with you ?
Anyway, we're still waiting for Noah to tell us whether, timewise, the Greyhound at Burston was "before or after Stone".

After being in Stone. But did you drink as many pints in Stone as you did 50 years ago?

Don't forget the other 3 of the 7 cardinal points. Straight up, straight down and right here
No, two less than in 1973. One each in the Poste of Stone, Royal Exchange, Borehole, Star, Swan, Red Lion and Bridge before catching the 5.33pm train home.

I've never understood the difference between 'straight up' and 'north' for Stone and 'straight down' and 'south' for Penkridge.
