Hi guys
Does anyone know what's happening with the lamb pub by sainsbury's.
There was a lot of Van's outside yesterday and the sign has been removed facing sainsbury's
Thanks Dave

Great that it keeps the ex Coach lot on the outskirts of town too!!!!
But might "the ex Coach lot" as you call them soon move on and if so where to ?
Admiral Taverns are offering the Tenancy of the Lamb Inn for an investment of £6,000.
We're told that "The pub is currently a drinks focused community/ high street pub however there is plenty of scope to further develop the offer at the Lamb and increase trade significantly with the implementation of a small food offer" and that "The Lamb has a huge amount of currently untapped potential. With the introduction of small food offer, live entertainment and pub teams the Lamb will reach new heights! We are looking for the right operator to complete a refurbishment with, this opportunity could suit an experienced pub operator or someone new to the trade. The new operator should maximise on the pubs location which should include tapping into the university trade and town goers as well as its regular drinkers". Apparently "The Lamb Inn is located approx. 500m from Stafford town centre. It boasts a fantastic main road location, opposite Stafford University, with good transport links being located next to bus station. The area itself is undergoing development and restoration." So it's no longer just a CFE between Tenterbanks and Earl Street, Stafford's got that long awaited bus station and all those vacant premises on Gaolgate street should soon be restored and occupied !

Demolished, it might make 20 parking spaces

5k a year per space

Sounds a plan
Yes, like the Stafford Arms if "5k a year per space" is all that matters with a Tory government that knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

The Lamb has been taken over by Ivan Blount and his wife. They took over the pub a couple of months ago. The revamp being carried out now were agreed as part of the tenancy agreement made between the new landlords and brewery.

Seem to be trying to make it into an attractive pub, hope it works for them. Admiral are still advertising the tenancy but that is common with some pubcos, leave the tenancy advertised as bait to attract potential tenants then offer them another pub.

But will the Marstons Pedigree still be £2.90 a pint ?

Last time I visited Fran and Gary had it I think? Was an awful smell of piss they couldn't shift, they said the drains were damaged, was that ever rectified?
